Lance Smith has more than 35 years experience in Institutional, Commercial and Residential projects for a cross section of Government, Corporate and Private clients.
He provides direct involvement with design and project delivery to all his clients and is committed to all aspects of the project, from conceptual design to construction observation.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Smith was a partner at Cooper Robertson and Partners, New York, and at Hallen Custers Smith, Architects, in Durban, South Africa. In both these practices he served as project architect for numerous large scale and prestigious projects that included Master Plans for Johns Hopkins Hospital, Fordham University, the University of Natal, the redesign of Fountain Square in Cincinnati, and the design of the International Convention Center for the City of Durban.
An innovative professional with strong design and planning expertise he brings to his work an approach that seeks to build simpler and use the means at his disposal to the maximum advantage.
He holds a M. Arch degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MSc. degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, New York. He is a licensed architect in New Jersey and New York.
